| This feature is useful when you want to update fixed fields in a large number of item
records, for example to change locations or status, or to delete them from the database,
and when you have the items or the barcodes in front of you. In our library we use this
feature to change the item status of new books from p (processing) to a (new
book display) before they leave Technical Services. You can also use this feature to
produce statistical reports or check the status of items at a special location. |
