If you suspect that similar materials are being shelved in the wrong location, you can use the module for spot checking these problems.

In our case, we have a local history collection with many materials that overlap with the reference collection. We suspected that materials were not being shelved in the proper location so we scanned the local history collection. As noted in red on this slide, an item that belonged in the reference collection was mixed in with the local history collection.

This type of spot checking is also a good way to identify items that are mislabeled.
